Health inequalities

Using analytics and evaluation to inform programme delivery from a health inequalities perspective.

Unity Insights continues to provide analytics and evaluation support to our partner organisation, KSS AHSN. For the 2021/22 financial year, KSS AHSN has made health inequalities a priority. A core component of this is the use of quantitative data to support an evidence-based approach.

KSS AHSN wishes to understand existing demographics across the patch, in order to inform programme delivery and enable the consideration of inequalities from the beginning of future projects. Additionally, the AHSN seeks to test the impact of their current programme portfolio on existing health inequalities in order to drive quality improvement.

Unity Insights will address these needs by developing dashboards displaying population demographics across the KSS region, and mapping these against programme-specific outcome and process metrics. Additionally, patient-level information from relevant healthcare providers in the patch, before and after an intervention has been introduced, will enable Unity Insights to explore how programme outcomes vary amongst patients and across demographic groups.

The outputs will include interactive dashboards for the Kent, Surrey, and Sussex region, as well as reports on each programme with further in-depth analysis.
