Unity Insights are currently working with US-based company WoundMatrix Inc. to evaluate the impact of their WoundMatrix platform in the Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust area. WoundMatrix is a telehealth platform that helps record information on the treatment of a patient’s wound, supporting management of treatment over time.
The team are conducting a health economic evaluation of WoundMatrix, reviewing potential benefits to patients, staff, and the wider system, which may include:
- Clinical time to release to further care
- Savings on travelling to/from appointments, particularly focussing on CO2 savings
- Reduced risk of infection
- Faster recovery of acute wounds and pressure sores
Unity Insights may also conduct a qualitative analysis to identify perceptions of the solution, and help identify factors affecting adoption to help inform WoundMatrix Inc. of key insights and recommendations. These findings, and expertise from KSS AHSN’s Industry Engagement team, will provide WoundMatrix Inc. with invaluable support for business case development.
