Logic Model Creator Tool (beta)
Our Logic Model Creator Tool guides you through the completion of a logic model, gathering information about your intervention before providing you with a logic model output.
Introducing our Logic Model Creator Tool
A logic model is a compelling visual roadmap that shows how a program or intervention will achieve its objectives. It depicts the logical relationships among inputs (resources), activities (actions conducted), outputs (direct results), outcomes (short-term effects), and long-term consequences. This structured framework is required for the effective planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of healthcare interventions.
To simplify the process, we developed the Logic Model Creator Tool—an AI-powered solution that helps innovators:
- Design robust logic models using NHS-specific frameworks.
- Map processes to intended impacts with data-driven insights.
- Generate customised outputs—from quick chat-based summaries to detailed, emailed reports.
How it works
The Logic Model Creator Tool is an AI-generated chatbot developed using the practical knowledge and real-world experience of Unity insights.
- Choose your approach: Opt for a fast logic model or a more comprehensive version.
- Input your data: The tool guides you through key components of your innovation.
- Iterate and improve: Logic models evolve, revisit and update yours as your programme progresses.
Please note: This is a beta version. Some features may not work perfectly and improvements are ongoing. We welcome any feedback as we continue to refine and enhance the Logic Model Creator Tool.

Why logic models matter in evaluation
At Unity Insights, we specialise in healthcare evaluation, and logic models are a cornerstone of our methodology. These models provide a holistic view of programs and innovations, helping teams:
- Clarify objectives and align stakeholders.
- Plan assessments with demonstrable results.
- Answer the “so what?” question by demonstrating real-world impact.
For the maximum usability, a logic model should be created during the evaluation’s planning/design phase, prior to implementation; however, we advocate refining it iteratively as new data becomes available to ensure continual progress.
